Taylor ran into Blake on the way into the office and told him about Rhett and the Winkleton twins. “I know it’s Joe’s beat, so I can give him all my notes.”

“No, it’s your story. Your source. You can run with it. Right, Joe?” Joe had walked in behind them and was sipping a large cup of coffee.

“What’s that?” Joe asked.

“Taylor knows Rhett, who had an issue at his restaurant. Couple of brothers that stole from him and then vandalized it. You don’t care if she runs with it?”

Joe shrugged. “Not at all. Go for it.”

Taylor felt a thrill of excitement. It would be a fun story to put together.

“Good, that settles that, then. You’re on for trivia tonight, I hope—both of you?”

“I’m in,” Joe said and headed off to his desk.

“Me too. I’m looking forward to it,” Taylor said.

“Good, as it looks like there’s just the three of us able to go tonight. Mary and Emily can’t make it.”
